| Dave Anderson joined Sutter Hill in 1971 from Watkins Johnson Company,
where he worked in their Solid State Division. Dave graduated in electrical
engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1966, and
received his MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration in 1968.
Dave has participated in the start-up financing of a large number of highly
successful companies, across a broad range of industries. He currently serves
on the Board of Dionex, a public company. His private company boards include Brierley & Partners, E-Rewards,
and Concept Shopping. Sutter Hill has acted as lead investor in each of these
companies.
Past board seats include Palm Computing, Apollo Computing, Molecular Devices, Neurex and Hybritech. Dave was also responsible for the firm's start-up funding of LSI Logic, Quantum Corporation, Mentor Graphics, Linear Technology and Biovest.
Dave is a member of the Board of Directors of the MIT Investment Management Company. He is a past Director of the Harvard Business School Alumni Association and a past Trustee of the San Francisco Ballet. He is a past Director and President of the Western Association of Venture Capitalists, a founding member of Entrepreneurs' Foundation, and served on the Executive Committee of Crystal
Springs Uplands School for many years.
