acquired in October 1998 by IDEXX Laboratories, Inc., a world
leader in diagnostic detection and information systems for veterinary,
food and water-testing applications. Blue Ridge was founded
to develop pharmaceutical products exclusively for animals and
currently has more than 15 products in various stages of clinical
